Swiss Re has been rooted in the city of Zurich since its foundation in 1863. The company has continuously evolved and is now a leading and broadly diversified global re/insurance company. Diener & Diener Architekten from Basel designed the new building (replacement building) at Swiss Re's headquarters in Zurich, the Campus Mythenquai, and inspire with the imposing building directly on the lake.
auviso was also able to make an important contribution to the new building: the fixed media technology installations were realised by auviso specialists. The central element of the installation is an auditorium with state-of-the-art technology. This includes the first Lightware 25G video matrix in Switzerland with 80x80 cross points and several robotic cameras from Grass Valley. A high-quality sound system ensures the best sound quality and TV studio-suitable stage lighting provides the best light. A Televic interpreting and discussion system was also installed. Another special feature in the building is the TV studio, which was equipped by auviso with the latest camera technology and lighting. Other installations such as synchronised studio clocks were installed in the control and interpreting rooms.
The Swiss Re Next project was also special in terms of time: the workshop and construction site work for the entire AV installation took over a year. At peak times, up to ten auviso specialists were on site at the same time.
