Our ISE 2026 review
Barcelona, packed halls, lots of discussions, and even more ideas. Under the motto “Push Beyond,” ISE 2026 felt to us at IDS Group like a trade show should be today: less technology for technology's sake, more solutions that truly enhance experiences in rooms and at events. That's exactly why we were there with customer advisors from auviso and Kilchenmann and summarized the most important impressions.

Why we went to ISE with the IDS Group
ISE is not an end in itself for us. We used the days in Barcelona to examine trends, challenge manufacturers directly and, above all, take away one thing: concrete starting points that help our customers in projects, whether in the area of events or fixed installations. The fact that ISE 2026 focused particularly strongly on future topics such as AI, sustainability and cybersecurity was noticeable and fits in with the current reality in projects: networked, dynamic, experience-oriented.
Large screen displays 2026: our three main learnings
1) System beats individual components
In the large display sector, it is less and less the individual product that counts, but the interaction between the screen, feed, processing, control and operation. If you want to be effective, you have to think about stability, serviceability, redundancy and monitoring right from the start. This is how an impressive demo becomes a solution that works reliably in live operation.
2) Setup and operation are becoming easier because the market is maturing
Many developments are aimed at reducing typical hurdles. The focus is on topics such as faster installation, less complexity in signal paths and commissioning, more predictability in setup. Especially with changing locations and tight time frames, this makes the difference between "works somehow" and "runs smoothly".
3) Content determines the effect, AI accelerates the way there
New formats and productions beyond 16:9 are increasingly technically feasible. The bottleneck is often the content. This is exactly where AI comes in handy. By allowing content to be created, adapted and tested more quickly. This makes bolder screen concepts suitable for everyday use and gets teams from idea to implementation faster.
Conclusion: For us, Push Beyond means making impact predictable
ISE 2026 clearly showed where the industry is heading: away from individual innovations and towards solutions that work together and stand the test of time. The major topics at the trade fair were not abstract, but very concrete: AI simplifies workflows, sustainability influences the selection and operation of technology, and cybersecurity becomes more relevant as soon as systems are networked and content is distributed across multiple stations. It is precisely in this practical reality that large-screen displays continue to develop as part of an overall system and not as individual components.
For us at auviso, the claim remains the same: trends are only valuable when they can be translated into concrete, reliable setups, whether on the event floor or in a fixed installation. We take one thing away from our impressions from Barcelona: There are more opportunities than ever to use visual surfaces as an experience factor, provided that concept, content and operation are considered together from the outset.
If you are currently planning a project or would like to further develop an existing solution, talk to us. We will be happy to share what we have learned and show you which approaches have proven themselves in practice.
