Our milestones
What began in 2003 as a small 3-man start-up is now a company with 190 employees at seven locations. With our 360° portfolio and passionate employees, we support events and permanent installations from A to Z. We are proud of this.

First challenge - naming and logo
"Moving pictures" or "video police"? Numerous name ideas are floated around. In the end, "auviso - audio visual solutions" won the race. It best expresses the basic attitude: to find "solutions" for all multimedia requirements! Video solutions on a rental basis are the main offer - so "visual" is at the center.

Foundation - young, innovative and competent
Martin Elmiger, Marco Kohler and Thomas Erni founded auviso with their great passion for event and media technology - and a starting capital of CHF 150,000. Self-financed, because despite colorful and imaginative business plans, no bank wanted to grant the start-up a loan.

One of the first events
At the closing between Roche Vitamins and DSM, we supervise several town hall and manager meetings. auviso is completely on set - including partners, helpers and freelancers. It was worth it, and we are still looking after this client today.

The first delivery van
With all the cases, we've almost ruined our private cars. It's time for the first "branded" 3.5t delivery van. In white with foiling - unimaginable today. But Martin is proud and ready for action. 20 years later, the black auviso vehicles are almost part of the street scene in central Switzerland.

Innovative advertising
It can also be more innovative than white with foiling... and more unique. The concrete mixer no longer exists. Thomi Studhalter, on the other hand, is still our tried and tested transport partner today.

The first public viewing
With the public viewing during the European Football Championship in Portugal, we are realizing our first major project. And we are spitting in our hands - Alex Frei is known to have other goals ...

Entry Florentin Häfliger
Because Flo is already doing some work before he officially joins, he starts in September 2005 with 63 hours of overtime. He still has them, by the way. And he is - alongside the founders Martin Elmiger and Thomas Erni - the employee we have been able to count on for almost 19 years and therefore the longest. Today Flo is Head of Digital Media

Admission Martin Haas
As a multimedia electronics technician in a traditional radio and TV store, Martin is full of drive. So auviso always fits the bill. The (successful) job interview with Martin Elmiger takes place over a beer in the lakeside bar. Martin starts out as a "one-man show" AV technician with a small workshop. That changes quickly. Not only the team, but also the workshop grew in size. Today, he is Head of Systems, a member of the management team and, since November 2020, also co-owner of auviso.

The first move
auviso is growing. The premises are bursting at the seams. That's why we move just a few blocks away, to number 14, where we now have 400m2 availablefor our warehouse and office.

Redesign logo
For our 5th anniversary, we would like a visual refresh. The above variants for a logo are available for selection. The existing lettering will be supplemented with the now famous "Böppel".

auviso moves to Kriens
The company continues to grow and we need more space again! We now have 2,300 m2 of warehouse and office space available at Sternmatt 6 in Kriens.

Entry Philipp Burkhardt
After training as a multimedia electronics technician, Philipp started at auviso as a technician in the Rental department. He later switched to Systems. Today, he is a member of the management team and has been a co-owner of auviso since November 2020.

Admission Manuel Schärer
As a DJ and party organizer in his youth, Manuel fits in very well with auviso. He meets Martin Elmiger on a job at the "Upgrade your Weekend" party at the KKL. Martin video technology, Manuel lighting. They meet again as rivals for a job at the Pravda Club in Lucerne. A bit of "luck" brought them together and shortly afterwards Manuel started working as a full-blooded event manager at auviso. Today he is Head of Events, a member of the management and board of directors and co-owner of auviso.

10 years auviso
Wow, we're already 10! auviso celebrated this anniversary on August 23, 2013 with around 400 guests and a brilliant beach party at the Lido Lucerne. 10 years after its foundation, auviso is one of the largest full-service providers of audiovisual technology in Switzerland and already employs around 60 people, including 10 apprentices.

Foundation of second location - Basel
Premotion (agency for communication & events) and auviso have their roots in Lucerne - another is our long-standing clients and partners in the Basel area. We are therefore establishing a joint office in Muttenz. This brings our developments and services closer to our clients in this region.

Head office moves to Emmenbrücke
Now it's definitely getting too cramped in Kriens! We are tripling our space to over 7,000m2and moving to Viscosistadt in Emmenbrücke. At Spinnereistrasse 5, we finally have space for offices, meeting rooms, co-working areas, showrooms, warehouses and a repair workshop.

Foundation of third location - St.Gallen
Now we are also closer to our customers in Eastern Switzerland. After starting in Grabs, we are moving to St.Gallen in 2019.

Foundation of fourth location - Zurich
We take the plunge into the Zurich region and open a location at Zurich Airport. In April 2023, we move to Glattpark (Opfikon).

Xaver Award - Best Expo Project
Together with our partners, we received this award - for a trade fair stand at appli-tech 2018 and the associated projection mapping "Habito", productions with artists and an interactive game. Of course we are proud!

Corona slows us down - temporarily
With a general ban on events, the event plug will be pulled for more or less two years on February 28, 2020. For many auviso employees, this means short-time working for several months - a major challenge for auviso! But we are making the most of the time, driving innovation and continuing to find creative solutions for our customers - especially digital events.

We also want to gain an even stronger foothold in the Swiss capital and are establishing our fifth location in Berne.

20 years auviso
On June 30, 2023, we celebrated our 20th anniversary at the KKL Lucerne. Around 630 guests joined us to toast this milestone in the company's history and enjoyed an unforgettable celebration. The location was not chosen at random: The KKL played a key role in auviso's business idea 20 years ago.

New addition to the GL - Rolf Schwander
Another member joins the management team: Rolf Schwander. He started his career at auviso at a young age as an AV technician and later as Systems Project Manager. After a career change, Rolf returned to auviso in 2018 as an AV specialist planner / project manager, where he has built up the specialist planning team over the past few years. Today, Rolf is one of the members of the management team in the position of Head of Locations & Specialist Planning.

With the merger of Kilchenmann AG and auviso - audio visual solutions ag under the umbrella of Inno Digital Services AG (IDS), the two specialists for high-quality communication and media technology as well as professional event services are strengthening their position on the Swiss market. This will not only result in added value for both companies, but customers will also benefit from this exclusive Swiss solution.

CEO change at auviso
Philipp Burkhardt will take over from Martin Elmiger on April 1, 2025. Philipp has been working for auviso since 2009 and will now assume responsibility for the further development of the company and the implementation of the Group strategy. As founder and previous CEO, Martin has built up the company with great commitment and innovative strength since 2003 and established it as a leading provider in the field of professional events and multimedia technology. Martin will remain associated with the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
