175 Years of Luzerner Kantonalbank

In 2025, Luzerner Kantonalbank (LUKB) celebrated its 175th anniversary. Under the motto “Lozärn verbonde,” the anniversary year fostered connections throughout the canton and brought people together through shared experiences.

As a long-standing partner of LUKB, we were able to accompany this flagship project as a technical partner and were involved in the Music Day, the Enjoyment Days and the closing ceremony, among other things.
Large-scale production in the wrestling arena
The music theme day is one of the biggest projects we have ever realized. We were responsible for the complete planning of the AV technology, including being part of the festival OC. In preparation alone, we invested around 500 planning hours in concept, detailed planning and interface coordination.
The implementation took place in a wrestling arena for 7000 visitors. The arena specifications posed particular challenges, for example in terms of shape, roof loads and rigging. In addition, the setup had to be planned in such a way that it was compatible with the subsequent wrestling festival. A key moment was the night-time conversion from the music theme day to the wrestling festival, which was carried out under great time pressure and with great logistical effort.

Technology, logistics and crew
We were on site for a total of 8 days and worked around 3000 hours. There were 30 people per shift for set-up and dismantling, supplemented by a show crew of 20 people for rehearsals and the show. The material logistics comprised 15 trucks for set-up and dismantling, including 5 trucks exclusively for night-time dismantling with a volume of around 45 tons.
Technically, work was carried out on 3 stages. A total of 168 input channels were used for the music and the sound effects. Monitoring was carried out via 20 stereo in-ears and 20 monitor loudspeakers. We realized the arena sound reinforcement with d&b V Series.

For the visual effect, we used 60 m² of LED walls, around 400 spotlights and 2 Robospot Follow systems. A special show element was the kabuki curtain system in blue and white as an impressive starting moment. We covered the safety and operational requirements with EVAK for lighting and sound in the arena. A broadcast connection for the live stream on radiopilatus.ch, including camera direction with 5 cameras, was implemented to extend the reach. The weather also demanded a great deal of flexibility: heavy rain led to a lot of mud and increased the demands on protection, paths and processes.

We implemented the entire AV technology and ensured stable show operations despite the complex arena conditions and challenging night-time conversion. The music theme day thus became a technically precise highlight in LUKB's anniversary year and fitted seamlessly into the leitmotif "Lozärn verbonde".
