Audio-visual equipment in the Orelli Hall
The Orelli Hall at the University of Zurich is used for meetings and formal events. Consequently, the requirements for discretion, quality, reliability, and stylish integration into the protected building structure are exceptionally high. Discretion, reliability, and high-quality, stylish integration into the protected building structure are therefore crucial. As part of the renovation, we were tasked with implementing the audiovisual modernization, thereby creating a meeting environment that combines the room’s historic character with contemporary communication technology.
Meetings of central management committees are regularly held in the hall. The room is also used to receive high-ranking national and international guests. The requirements for discretion, quality, reliability and stylish integration into the existing, protected building fabric are correspondingly high. Our solution and implementation As part of the renovation of the existing meeting room, we were able to modernize the media technology.
The focus was on two core elements:
-
Large LED wall as a central, modern display and presentation medium for meetings and official events
-
Auto-tracking video conferencing system for professional hybrid meetings, which automatically records speakers and significantly simplifies communication with external participants.
During implementation, particular emphasis was placed on ensuring that the technology was functional, reliable and at the same time as unobtrusive as possible in the listed building. With the new solution, the University of Zurich now has a future-proof, high-quality meeting environment in the Orelli Hall that masters the balancing act between the historic character of the room and state-of-the-art communication technology. University management meetings and high-level receptions benefit from improved visual presentation, clear processes and significantly enhanced video conferencing quality.
We would like to thank the University of Zurich for their trust and the order.
